Job summary

HES is seeking General Cleaners to join our education-focused facilities management team. This part-time weekend position covers Saturday-Sunday shifts from 4 to 8 hours, performing sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, restroom cleaning, and basic maintenance tasks to keep the facility spotless.

Ideal candidates have a solid work history, reliability, ability to work with others, and are prepared for a physical role with lifts up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred or equivalent.
• Previous cleaning experience is a plus.
• A background check is required for employment.
• Candidate must be physically able to perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, dust, mop, vacuum, and maintain daily cleanliness.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and locker rooms.
• Polish and clean surfaces, windows, and entry areas.
• Remove trash and perform light maintenance duties as directed.

Job Skills / Requirements

General Cleaners are responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of all assigned areas. General Cleaners perform any combination of cleaning duties to maintain the daily upkeep and cleanliness of the facility Hours For Position Part‑time, Saturday-Sunday 4-8 hour shifs. Essential Functions Sweeping, dusting, dust mopping, damp mopping, vacuuming, extracting carpet, stripping and waxing floors, removing trash, recycling, cleaning and sanitizing restrooms and locker rooms, polishing outside area within 10 feet of entryways, washing windows, removal or snow and ice, cleaning of desks/walls/ furniture/ doors/ entry glass/ interior glass/counter tops/chalkboards/ whiteboards/blinds and light fixtures, and any other duties as directed by custodial supervisor or his/her designated representative.
