Job description

Holy Family Catholic Church is seeking a weekend custodian with occasional weekday/evening shifts if needed.

Hours:

• Saturdays - 6:45 am to 2:00 pm
• Sundays - 6:45 am to 10:30 am

Responsibilities include the following:

• Be on time, present, and ready to work for all scheduled hours.
• Must be comfortable working with audio/visual livestream (training will be provided).
• Setup for events: tables, chairs, podium and a/v equipment as requested.
• Be present during events to assist.
• Vacuum and clean floors as necessary.
• Use proper cleaning agents and tools in cleaning of church, bathrooms, kitchen, meeting rooms, classrooms, gymnasium, offices, storage areas and windows.
• Dust cabinets, furniture, shelves and other fixtures to maintain a pleasant visual environment.
• Collect and dispose of garbage and recyclable materials.
• Receive deliveries. Be available to direct other deliveries to their proper destinations.
• Safely secure & monitor buildings. Lock and unlock facility according to schedule and as needed by other staff, parishioners, and helpers.
• Shovel/plow snow, salt/sand parking lots and sidewalks as needed.
• Be aware of needs for repairs and report these to the Supervisor.
• Accomplish all tasks assigned by Supervisor in carrying out the daily, weekly, monthly, annual, seasonal and special maintenance plans.
• Prepare written reports of work completed as requested by the Supervisor.
• Attend custodial staff meetings as requested.
• Work with and assist other staff members and volunteers to ensure a functioning and pleasant parish environment.
