Qualifications

• Basic life support certification is required per unit standards.

Responsibilities

• Communicates effectively with physicians, imaging personnel, students, and hospital staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Performs IV starts and administers contrast as required.
• Provides on-call coverage outside of standard hours as per department policy.
• Inputs charges and data for procedures and supplies used during exams.
• Maintains equipment and logs service calls per procedure.
• Produces quality images accurately and promptly.
• Prepares patients for exams and addresses their physical and emotional needs.
• Assists and positions patients during exams and documents any unusual occurrences.
