Job summary

AdventHealth is hiring for a radiology imaging role in the Dade City, Florida area. The technician will participate in scheduled weekend shifts and provide high-quality imaging, IV starts and contrast administration while maintaining safety standards.

The position requires strong communication, documentation, and teamwork with physicians, patients and staff. Background checks apply and benefits begin from day one in a faith-based healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• Basic computer skills and typing ability.
• Strong written and verbal communication required.
• Ability to follow instructions and read/understand written guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Communicates effectively with physicians, imaging personnel, students and staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Performs IV starts and administers contrast as required.
• Maintains safe operation of imaging equipment and logs service calls per procedure.
• Prepares patients for exams and assists during procedures; addresses patient needs.
• Performs quality imaging while adhering to radiation safety regulations.

Job Description:

Shift: Saturday 630a-7pSunday 630a-7pMonday 1p-130a Sign on bonus for Eligible candidates Communicates effectively in writing and verbally with physicians, imaging personnel, students, and hospital staff to ensure continuity of care. Performs IV starts and administers contrast as required. Provides on-call coverage outside of standard hours as per department and facility policy. Inputs charges and required data for procedures and supplies used during exams. Completes necessary hospital and medical imaging paperwork for each exam performed. Maintains technical operation of equipment, notifies service when necessary, and logs service calls or problems per department procedure. Maintains a clean work area for employees and patients, ensuring quality checks and equipment maintenance documentation. Performs imaging procedures while ensuring safety, adhering to radiation safety regulations to minimize exposure. Produces quality images accurately and promptly. Prepares patients for exams by providing information and instructions, and addressing their physical and emotional needs. Assists and positions patients during exams, observing and documenting any unusual occurrences. Performs other duties as assigned.
