Job summary

St. Luke’s University Health Network is seeking a Weekend CT Scan Technologist to support radiology services on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM.

The role involves performing CT scans, assisting Radiologists in invasive procedures, and providing patient education while maintaining high image quality and safety standards. The candidate should be ARRT-registered with Advanced CT registry, have current CPR/BLS, and possess a valid state license.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an ARRT recognized education program or ARRT registered.
• Advanced CT registry required.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current state license (NJDEP) and appropriate registry (ARRT) is required.

Responsibilities

• Directly assists Radiologist during all aspects of invasive procedures and performs CT scan examinations as directed by the Radiologist.
• Communicates clinical observations during CT Scan examinations to Radiologist.
• Presents clinical history as recorded on documentation to Radiologist.
• Injects contrast for CT Scans per department policy.
• Performs 3-D imaging functions and ensures image quality for PACS.
• Provides patient education about examinations and relevant safety practices.
• Maintains knowledge of RIS/HIS systems relevant to job duties.
• Notifies RN of patient problems or reactions and adheres to downtime procedures.
