Job summary

St. Tammany Health System seeks a CT technologist to operate computerized tomographical radiological equipment, position patients, and ensure high-quality images.

You will track studies, handle PACS acquisitions, and apply radiation protection while working a weekend-only schedule (five of six weekends) with shift and WOW differentials. Candidates must graduate from an accredited radiology program, be ARRT registered, and hold LSRT license; CT registration is required within one year.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited radiology technology program.
• CT department with multi-slice technology experience preferred.
• ARRT registered in Radiology and LSRT license required.
• CT registration within 1 year of hire.
• BLS certification through ILCOR courses with manikin check off.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with patients of all ages.
• Weekend-only, five of six weekends required; shift differentials paid.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT equipment and position patients to acquire diagnostic images.
• Process and evaluate CT images; ensure image quality and accuracy.
• Track studies and manage PACS acquisitions.
• Apply radiation protection practices and select appropriate technical factors.
