Job summary

York Container Co in York, PA is seeking a highly motivated Corrugator Operator – Weekend Maintainer to operate and maintain the corrugator machine safely, efficiently and reliably.

Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance with weekend crew, weekly Sunday start-up, quality checks, and adherence to safety protocols. The role runs Fri 7 PM through Sun 7 AM with potential overtime as approved by supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; up to two years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Good interpersonal & communication skills.
• Highly organized, detail oriented and self-motivated (proactive attitude).
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment, learn quickly and follow established processes.
• Good mathematical skills – understand basic algebra, able to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, volume.

Responsibilities

• Operate corrugator and maintain it safely and efficiently.
• Manage preventive and corrective maintenance tasks with the Weekend Maintenance crew.
• Start machine and starch prep weekly Sunday night for production start-up.
• Monitor quality boards from single facer and double backer.
• Ensure safety features are functional and report unsafe conditions to supervisor.
