Job summary

Richardson International Limited in New Hope, MN, is seeking a Controls Technician for our pasta production facility. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and related control systems to minimize downtime.

You will support automation across production, packaging and material handling, perform preventive maintenance, and assist with upgrades and documentation. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and an associate degree in a related field.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED or equivalent combo.
Associate degree in Electrical Technology, Automation Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 3 years of controls, automation, or industrial electrical experience.
Experience troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, and industrial automation systems.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, instrumentation, and industrial control systems.
Support automation systems across production, packaging, and material handling equipment.
Diagnose and resolve electrical and controls-related issues to minimize downtime.
Perform preventative and predictive maintenance activities.
Maintain PLC and HMI program backups and documentation.
Assist with equipment upgrades, installations, and continuous improvement projects.
