Job summary

Southern Grind is seeking a skilled CNC Mill-Turn Set Up Operator for the weekend shift. You will set up and operate Mill-Turn machines to produce parts, read blueprints and GD&T, and ensure parts meet exact specifications.

You will collaborate with leadership to prioritize work, document processes, and support new product launches and continuous improvement projects. A strong safety focus and 5+ years of CNC experience are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with blueprints, GD&T and technical documents
• 5+ years of CNC Mill-Turn setup to finish
• 5+ years of Fanuc or other CNC controls
• 5+ years of 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC Mill-Turn machining
• 3+ years of CNC Mill-Turn programming including formatting/editing
• 3+ years machining stainless steel alloys, copper, aluminum, or titanium

Responsibilities

• Conduct all set-up and quality operations to support machining
• Prioritize work with leadership based on production goals
• Set up and operate machines per process sheets and paperwork
• Prove out new products, fixtures, and tooling and document for training
• Set up and manage CNC Mill-Turn machines for drilling, milling, turning
• Monitor in-process machines and adjust offsets to improve results
