Job summary

Waukesha Bearings in Antigo, Wisconsin, part of Dover Precision Components, is seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist for a Weekend Shift. You will operate, set up, and program CNC machines to produce precision components, using lathes and milling machines, in a fast-paced environment focused on quality and continuous improvement.

The role requires experience with precision inspection tools, CNC operation and programming (G-code), and reading blueprints.

Qualifications

Manufacturing experience with precision inspection equipment (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges).
One year Machine Tool Operation certificate from college/technical school, or 3–6 months related experience.
Ability to apply plane/solid geometry and trigonometry to practical tasks.
Experience operating CNC milling machines and/or CNC lathes in a manufacturing setting.
Knowledge of CNC programming languages (e.g., G-code) and CAM software for toolpath creation.
Familiarity with blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

Promote and participate in safety culture at the facility.
Read and interpret drawings, sheets, blueprints and sketches to determine specs and setup.
Locate and download programs from DNC storage.
Interpret work instructions and select proper tooling.
Calculate feeds and speeds for various metals.
Set up measurement equipment and verify calibration during production.
Maintain a team-focused, safe, and productive work environment.
