Job summary

Personal Touch Home Health Care Services Inc. is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for weekend home care assignments.

You will provide direct patient care, assist with personal hygiene, bathing, grooming, transfers, and mobility, within clients' homes. Travel within the designated area to perform basic nursing tasks under supervision, prepare meals, offer companionship, and maintain records while upholding confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Maintain valid certification with DFS.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Effective communication skills, including reading, writing, and following directions.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and standing.
• Compassionate attitude toward patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including personal hygiene, bathing, grooming, and assisting with transfers and ambulation.
• Administer basic nursing care and prescribed exercises under supervision.
• Prepare meals considering client preferences and dietary needs.
• Offer companionship and engage clients in activities tailored to their interests.
• Perform light housekeeping duties and maintain accurate documentation of care provided.
• Record changes in clients' physical or psychosocial conditions and report them appropriately.
• Follow the Plan of Care strictly; do not administer medications.
• Use equipment such as blood pressure cuffs and stethoscopes as needed.
• Ensure confidentiality, uphold patient rights, and report any concerns related to abuse, neglect, or unsafe environments.
