Apex Home Health, Hospice & Home Care is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide weekend home care services, supporting patients in their residences with compassionate, patient-centered care. The role includes personal hygiene, transfers, basic nursing tasks, meals, companionship, and light housekeeping, all within a patient’s home.

Travel within a designated area is required; hours are not guaranteed and may vary by client needs.

Qualifications

• Current DFS certification.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and standing.
• Sympathetic attitude toward patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene care (bathing, shaving, hair and mouth care).
• Assist with transfers, repositioning and ambulation for safety.
• Administer basic nursing care and prescribed exercises under supervision.
• Prepare meals tailored to client preferences and dietary needs.
• Offer companionship and engage in activities suited to individual interests.
• Perform light housekeeping and maintain accurate records.
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition and follow Plan of Care.
