Job summary

Brightstar Care of Chicago and La Grange is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our weekend home care team serving Downtown Chicago and surrounding communities. This part-time role supports clients on weekends during various shifts, with opportunities for ongoing assignment and growth.

You will work under RN supervision, assist with personal care, vital signs, transfers using Hoyer Lift and gait belt, and provide companionship.

Qualifications

Active CNA certification in Illinois.
Completion of a state-approved Nursing Assistant program.
CPR certification required.
Minimum 1 year hands-on healthcare experience (home care or facility).
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license if applicable.
Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care as directed by the nursing supervisor and client’s care plan.
Assist with personal care: bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting.
Take and record vital signs accurately.
Support transfers using Hoyer Lift, Gait Belt, Sit-to-Stand, and other equipment.
Care for clients with G-tubes, tracheostomies, or ventilators (training/experience required).
Assist with feeding, meal prep, and light housekeeping.
Provide companionship and emotional support.
Transport clients to appointments and community activities as needed.
