Job summary

The Sisters of Mercy in Nashville seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA/STNA) for a part-time, on-site role with Saturday and Sunday shifts every other weekend. 12-hour shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Per-Diem coverage is required for call-offs, holidays, etc. The CNA/STNA will support the nursing team with activities of daily living, mobility, meals, and clinical observations, ensuring comfort, safety, dignity, independence, and personal choice for residents.

Qualifications

• Current and valid CNA or STNA certification.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Experience or education in geriatrics or healthcare.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to call lights.
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Provide meals and dining assistance.
• Monitor vital signs and health information.
• Ensure safety, comfort, dignity and independence.
• Document and report changes to nursing staff.
• Follow safety and infection-control procedures.
• Work as part of a care team.
• Assist with shift-change reporting.
