Job summary

The certified nursing assistant is responsible to provide direct residents/customers care and follow established facility/department policies and procedures. Supportive of the Village’s mission, values, and service/hospitality (PRIDE) expectations. Completes training hours as required by policy.

Provides personal care, records vital signs, and documents nursing care. Must have CNA certification as appropriate for MO/KS and a valid driver’s license; CPR certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CNA certification required for MO/KS depending on location.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care and assist with ADLs.
• Accurately check and record vital signs and weights.
• Keep residents clean, dry and comfortable.
• Report information to supervising nurse in a timely fashion.
• Complete required nursing charting and documentation.
• Assist with eating when necessary.
• Adhere to safety policies and departmental procedures.
