Job summary

YMCA of Western North Carolina in Asheville is hiring a part-time Children's Group Dance Instructor to teach ballet, creative movement, and hip-hop to members and groups on weekends. You will deliver engaging, safe classes, maintain equipment, and promote high participation.

Qualified candidates will hold an accredited Group Exercise Certification and CPR/First Aid; additional branded class certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must maintain current certifications including accredited Group Exercise Certification and branded class certifications.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required.
• Knowledge of safety and emergency response procedures.

Responsibilities

• Teaches and leads group exercise classes to recruit and retain members and meet goals.
• Maintains fitness equipment, rooms, and storage areas.
• Promotes class participation and high-quality member experiences.
• Covers shifts and documents attendance for each class.
• Ensures YMCA policies and continuing education are upheld.
