Job summary

Visiting Angels of Wall is hiring a Weekend CHHA to support clients in the Southern Monmouth County area. The role involves personal care, light housekeeping, meals, mobility assistance, and companionship, with shifts mainly Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 8pm.

This hourly, non-exempt position offers flexible schedules and opportunities for training. Requirements include valid HHA certification, high school diploma, reliable transportation, strong communication, and the ability to adhere to

Qualifications

• Valid certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA), licensed by the New Jersey State Board of Nursing
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Preferred to possess a Valid Drivers License, Car Insurance, and a Reliable Personal Vehicle to use to transport clients
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must
• Have excellent time-management skills and can juggle multiple duties at once
• Reliable transportation to get to and from client homes at the times you're scheduled to provide care
• Feel confident in your physical endurance when it comes to things like carrying groceries and physically supporting a client
• Feel comfortable performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to applicable dietary constraints
• Are willing and able to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards (ex., background check)
• Have compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten the day of each client
• Ability to perform patient observation accurately and respond promptly to changing health conditions

A Visiting Angels WeekendCHHA works under a Registered Nurse, and there are no supervision responsibilities with this position. The CHHA has HIPAA restricted access to certain client information, and is an hourly per-diem, non-exempt Direct Care staff member with no guaranteed minimum number of hours per week.
