As an Experienced CHHA, you will provide personal care, mobility support, meals, light housekeeping, and companionship under supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Qualificações

• Valid certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA), licensed by the New Jersey State Board of Nursing.
• HHA Certification Reimbursement available after 90 days.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred to possess a Valid Driver's License, Car Insurance, and a Reliable Personal Vehicle to transport clients.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must.
• Excellent time-management skills and ability to juggle multiple duties.
• Reliable transportation to client homes as scheduled.
• Comfort performing housekeeping and cooking duties with dietary constraints.
• Willing to comply with state and office health and safety standards (background checks).
• Compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten the day of each client.
• Ability to observe patients accurately and respond promptly to health changes.

As a Visiting Angels Experienced CHHA, you'll play a vital role in enriching the quality of life of clients and supporting their wellness in accordance with their custom care plans. This can include:

• Helping clients with personal care and hygiene
• Assisting clients with light physical exercise or walks

A Visiting Angels Experienced CHHA works under a Registered Nurse, and there are no supervision responsibilities with this position. The CHHA has HIPAA restricted access to certain client information, and is an hourly per-diem, non-exempt Direct Care staff member with no guaranteed minimum number of hours per week.

Visiting Angels offers opportunities for advanced training in areas like dementia care and/or Alzheimer’s care for caregivers seeking to broaden their skills.

Experienced CHHA Job Requirements:

• Valid certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA), licensed by the New Jersey State Board of Nursing
• HHA Certification Reimbursement available after 90 days
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Preferred to posses a Valid Drivers License, Car Insurance, and a Reliable Personal Vehicle to use to transport clients
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must
• Have excellent time-management skills and can juggle multiple duties at once
• Reliable transportation to get to and from client homes at the times you're scheduled to provide care
• Feel confident in your physical endurance when it comes to things like carrying groceries and physically supporting a client
• Feel comfortable performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to applicable dietary constraints
• Are willing and able to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards (ex., background check)
• Have compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten the day of each client
• Ability to perform patient observation accurately and respond promptly to changing health conditions
