Job summary

CuraVistas Highline is seeking a dedicated Cook to join our kitchen team in Denver, Friday through Sunday shifts. You will prepare delicious, nutritious meals for our residents, align with dietary needs, and contribute to a warm, welcoming dining experience.

The ideal candidate has prior cooking experience in healthcare or senior living, knowledge of food safety, and strong teamwork and communication skills to support a compassionate dining environment for our residents.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience, preferably in healthcare, senior living, or institutional settings.
• Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and dietary needs specific to senior living (e.g., low-sodium, diabetic, gluten-free).
• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Must be reliable and willing to work weekends if needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to recipes, ensuring high-quality taste, presentation, and nutrition.
• Follow meal schedules and ensure timely meal service.
• Follow dietary needs and preferences of residents, including special diets.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization; monitor safety and sanitation standards.
• Assist with menu planning and record meals served and dietary requests.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth meal service and assist with events.
