Job summary
Masconomet Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a Weekend RN or LPN Charge Nurse to oversee resident care and supervise staff during weekend shifts. The role emphasizes leadership, clinical expertise, and ensuring safe, compliant operations in a busy weekend environment.
Candidates must hold a Massachusetts RN or LPN license and have experience in skilled nursing or long-term care. A dependable weekend schedule and strong communication with physicians and families are essential.
Qualifications
- Current RN or LPN license in Massachusetts.
- Skilled nursing or long-term care experience preferred.
- Charge Nurse or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment and leadership skills.
- Dependable weekend availability.
- Ability to work 9:00 AM–5:00 PM or 10:00 AM–6:00 PM.
Responsibilities
- Oversee nursing operations during weekend shifts.
- Supervise CNAs and nursing staff.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
- Monitor residents and respond to changes in condition.
- Communicate with physicians, families, and on-call leadership.
- Complete accurate clinical documentation.
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Ensure care plans and facility procedures are followed.
- Respond to emergencies and address resident or family concerns.
- Maintain a professional and resident-centered environment.
