Job summary

Genesis Healthcare is seeking a Certified Medicine Aide to assist with medication administration under the supervision of a licensed nurse in a long-term care setting in Rio Rancho, NM. The role requires CNA background and a state-approved medication aide certification, with English proficiency to communicate patient needs effectively.

Shifts include Saturday-Sunday 6 am – 6 pm, offering hourly compensation and the chance to contribute to patient well-being and quality care in a collaborative

Qualifications

• Must have state approved medication aide training.
• Must have state approved CNA training.
• CNA with one year of experience.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications and medicated creams under licensed nurse supervision.
• Prepare and administer routine and PRN medications as prescribed and document per policy.
• Maintain medication supply, clean and restock medicine carts and room.
• Notify pharmacy of new medication orders and refills.
• Perform accurate vital sign monitoring when indicated by drug therapy.
