Qualifications

• RN or social work/psychology advanced degree required.
• License to practice in Wisconsin or relevant state.
• Experience in behavioral health and discharge planning.
• Knowledge of managed care processes and utilization review.
• Familiarity with state mental health codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate discharge planning and use specialty services as needed.
• Explain estimated benefits and assist with financial options for patients.
• Obtain pre-authorization and perform ongoing payor reviews.
• Lead denial/appeal processes for non-certified care.
• Develop and maintain standards for case management.
• Coordinate communications among patients, families, physicians and teams.
