Job summary

Affordable Family Care Services - Greensboro is seeking a compassionate caregiver to support elderly clients and others needing daily living assistance. The role emphasizes personal hygiene, mobility support, meal preparation, and companionship to promote independence at home.

Qualified candidates will have a valid CNA certificate, a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a TB test, background and drug screenings, and E-Verify employment requirements.

Qualifications

• CNA certification is required or in progress.
• Current TB test is required.
• Must pass a background and drug check and be E-Verify employable.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for clients in daily living activities, including showering, bathing, dressing and eating.
• Remind clients to take prescribed medications.
• Assist with mobility around the home and accompany to appointments or walks.
• Support with personal care and hygiene tasks as needed.
• Plan and prepare meals for clients.
• Complete shopping or accompany clients to shop.
• Perform housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Report unusual incidents promptly and act in emergencies.
• Assist with meals and daily living activities as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating
• Remindclients to take prescribed medication
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
• Assist with personal care and hygiene
• Plan and prepare meals
• Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Offer activities that areessential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary

Qualifications

• Access to reliable transportation to and from work.
• Your vehicle must be insured.
• You must have a valid driver’s license.
• You will need a current TB
• Your CNA Certificate
