Job summary

Comfort Keepers is seeking compassionate caregivers to support seniors in Gaffney, SC, and surrounding areas during weekend shifts, potentially 12 hours. You’ll provide one-on-one in-home care to help clients live safely and joyfully at home.

The role includes personal care, cognitive support for dementia, meals and hydration, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and meaningful companionship, with flexible scheduling and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Prior caregiving experience preferred.
• Available to work weekend shifts, including potential 12-hour shifts.
• Comfortable providing hands-on personal care.
• Demonstrate initiative, empathy, patience, and reliability.
• Dependable transportation to client homes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, grooming, toileting, mobility, feeding, and other personal care needs.

Do you have a heart for helping others live safely, independently, and joyfully at home? Comfort Keepers® is seeking compassionate, dependable, and proactive caregivers to join our trusted team in Gaffney, SC, and surrounding areas for weekend shifts, which may include 12-hour shifts.

As a Comfort Keeper, you'll provide one-on-one care that helps seniors remain comfortable and engaged in the place they love most—their home.

What You'll Do as a Caregiver

Personal Care

• Assist with bathing, grooming, toileting, mobility, feeding, and other personal care needs

• Encourage independence while providing respectful, hands-on support

• Monitor client well-being and communicate changes to the care team

Cognitive Support

• Provide compassionate care for seniors living with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia

• Use proven caregiving techniques to promote safety, comfort, and engagement

• Help reduce confusion and anxiety through patience and reassurance

Companionship & Household Support

• Prepare meals and assist with hydration and nutrition

• Provide medication reminders

• Perform light housekeeping and laundry

• Offer meaningful companionship, conversation, and emotional support

• Build trusted relationships with clients and their families

Who We're Looking For

We're seeking reliable caregivers who are passionate about helping seniors thrive at home. Ideal candidates will:

• Have previous caregiving experience (preferred)

• Be comfortable providing hands-on personal care

• Demonstrate initiative, empathy, patience, and reliability
