Job summary

Visiting Angels Athens is seeking weekend caregivers to support seniors in Athens, Eatonton and surrounding areas. You’ll provide companionship, light housekeeping, meal prep, mobility assistance and transportation as needed.

This role offers training in dementia and Alzheimer’s care and opportunities to grow your caregiving skills within a supportive, community-focused team. We value compassion, reliability and strong communication with families.

Qualifications

• Requires compassion and a true caregiver attitude.
• Emergency response and first aid knowledge preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship to seniors.
• Assist with light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Assist with ambulation and mobility.
• Provide transportation when needed.
• Document important observations and report to supervisor.
