Job summary

Visiting Angels Athens is seeking compassionate In Home Caregiver - Housekeeper professionals to assist seniors in Athens and surrounding areas. This role focuses on companionship, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and mobility support in clients\' homes.

Ideal candidates are dedicated to elder care, with strong communication skills and the ability to respond quickly in emergencies. Training opportunities in dementia or Alzheimer’s care help you grow professionally within our local team.

Qualifications

Strong commitment to compassionate elder care.
Knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
Ability to maintain health and safety standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Help clients take prescribed medication.
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (appointments, walks).
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
Help clients with routine exercises.
Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when able).
Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop.
Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete.
Be a pleasant and supportive companion.
Report any unusual incidents.
Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
