Job summary

BrightStar Care of the Monterey Peninsula is hiring experienced Caregivers and Home Care Aides for weekend shifts, providing one‑on‑one in‑home care to clients in their homes. We are seeking compassionate, dependable individuals who can work Saturday and/or Sunday with flexible per diem scheduling.

Shifts available include 4, 6, 8 or 12 hours across day and weekend slots; earn $23–$26/hour on weekends, with an extra $2/hour differential.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license.
• Reliable, insured vehicle.
• Current CPR certification.
• Negative TB test or chest X‑ray.
• Registered with the California Home Care Aide Registry.
• Ability to reliably work scheduled weekend shifts.
• 1+ year of professional caregiving, home care, senior care, personal care, or Home Care Aide experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, personalized in‑home care.
• Assist with ADLs (bathing, dressing, grooming, personal care).
• Provide companionship and social engagement.
• Assist with mobility and transfers.
• Transport clients to appointments, errands, and activities.
• Prepare meals according to client needs and dietary requirements.
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and tidying.
• Provide medication reminders as permitted.
• Observe and report changes in a client's condition.
• Complete caregiver visit notes and care documentation.
• Follow client care plans and HIPAA confidentiality requirements.

Skills

BrightStar Care of the Monterey Peninsula is hiring experienced Caregivers and Home Care Aides for weekend shifts.

We are looking for compassionate, dependable caregivers who are available to work Saturday and/or Sunday providing one‑on‑one care to clients in their homes.

Weekend Caregiver Shifts Available

• 4-hour shifts

• 6-hour shifts

• 8-hour shifts

• 12-hour shifts

• Day, evening, and weekend availability

Flexible per diem scheduling - choose shifts that work with your availability.

Pay

• $21–$24/hour base pay

• Weekend: $23–$26/hour

  • Additional $2/hour for weekend shifts

Caregiver / Home Care Aide Responsibilities

As a Caregiver or Home Care Aide, you may:
