Job summary

BrightStar Care of The Monterey Peninsula is hiring experienced Caregivers and Home Care Aides to provide high-quality in-home care in the Monterey Peninsula community.

We offer 4-, 8-, and 12-hour shifts with daytime, evening, weekend, and other scheduling options. Pay ranges from $21–$24 per hour, with weekend shifts adding up to $26 per hour. Per diem scheduling, paid sick/time off, free CEU training, and ongoing support are available.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of professional Caregiver, Home Care Aide, Personal Care Assistant, or similar experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized, compassionate support to clients in their homes.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and personal care.
• Provide bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation assistance.
• Offer companionship and meaningful social interaction.
• Provide transportation to appointments and errands.
• Maintain a safe living environment and assist with light housekeeping.

Caregiver Pay & Benefits

Caregiver / Home Care Aide Responsibilities

As a Caregiver with BrightStar Care, you will provide personalized, compassionate support that helps clients remain safe and comfortable in their homes.

Responsibilities may include:

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Provide bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal care assistance
• Provide companionship and meaningful social interaction
• Prepare meals and follow dietary needs or preferences
• Provide transportation to appointments, errands, shopping, and activities
• Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment
• Provide mobility and transfer assistance as appropriate
• Observe and report changes in a client's condition
• Document completed tasks and create accurate care notes for each visitFollow the client's individualized plan of care
• Maintain client privacy and follow all HIPAA requirements

Caregiver Requirements

• Valid driver's license
• Reliable and insured vehicle
• Current CPR certification
• Negative TB skin test or chest X-ray
• Registered with the California Home Care Aide Registry
• 1+ year of professional Caregiver, Home Care Aide, Personal Care Assistant, or similar experience preferred
• Dependable, compassionate, and committed to providing excellent care
• Ability to reliably arrive on time for scheduled shifts
