Job summary

Homewatch CareGivers in Farmington, CT is seeking compassionate caregivers for weekend shifts (Sat & Sun 9am-1pm). As a caregiver you will build meaningful relationships with clients, expand your skills through our online university, and enjoy a flexible schedule.

Position offers starting pay of $18/hour with benefits including health insurance and paid orientation. You will work independently in clients' homes, supporting activities of daily living and safety, with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• HOYER lift experience required.
• Prior caregiver experience.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Age 18 years or older (age 21 and older if providing transportation).
• Ability and willingness to perform all job duties (some training available).
• Professional, compassionate, mature, and trustworthy.
• Open to feedback and learning new approaches to care.
• Able to legally work in the United States with proper documents.
• Satisfactory results of a National Criminal Background Check.
• Verifiable references.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home care with a compassionate and caring attitude
• Help maintain a safe and comfortable home environment
• Assist with activities of daily living (ex: walking, grooming, bathing)
• Assist clients with errands, appointments, and social activities
• Update office staff on client progress as needed
