Job summary

The Maryland School for the Blind is looking for an On-Call Safety and Security Officer to provide safety and security services on campus. Responsibilities include conducting daily rounds, responding to emergencies and maintaining safety protocols.

Candidates must have a High School diploma, be 21 years of age, and possess a Class 'C' driver's license. Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse group are essential.

This position requires flexibility in working various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Requires a Class 'C' driver's license.
• Ability to achieve CPR, First Aid, and AED Certifications within six months.
• General knowledge of safety and security procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety and security services on campus.
• Complete and submit Daily Security Log Report.
• Respond to campus emergencies including fire alarms and illnesses.
• Conduct daily rounds of campus facilities.
