Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace seeks a highly skilled cabinetmaker III for a weekend shift in Appleton, WI. The role involves fabricating complex cabinets and wood-surfaced subassemblies for aircraft, interpreting drawings, and ensuring adherence to Gulfstream specifications.

You will mentor technicians and support Lean initiatives to improve safety and efficiency. The position requires 3 years of cabinetmaking experience, aerospace familiarity, and a working knowledge of Gulfstream inspection standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of cabinetmaking experience.
• Experience in aerospace industry preferred.
• Working knowledge of Gulfstream inspection and process specifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fabricates complex high quality furniture and other wood-surfaced subassemblies for aircraft installations.
• Interprets material specifications and drawings to meet design and engineering requirements.
• Works with lead to develop process improvements for safety, cost, cycle time and man-hours.
• Uses material tracking system to create parts demand and sign-off work.
• Mentors and trains lesser skilled technicians.
• Oversees projects and delegates tasks to assigned technicians.
• Conducts safety audits and ensures compliance with safety policies.
