Job summary

Adapt of Missouri, a Compass Health Network subsidiary, is seeking a Behavioral Technician to support adults with chronic mental health conditions in a supervised residential setting. The role focuses on building independence and recovery, with a weekend/as-needed schedule and direct, person-centered care.

You’ll use strength-based strategies to promote wellness and help clients access community resources, while documenting progress after each shift and collaborating with the team.

Qualifications

• High School/Equivalent Required.
• At least one year of experience as a CNA, in social/human services, and/or experience working with adults with chronic mental illnesses required.
• Must obtain and maintain certification in CPR, First Aid, CPI and Medication Level I Aide.

Responsibilities

• Support clients with daily living skills like cooking, budgeting, hygiene, and medication education
• Encourage wellness and recovery goals through coaching and compassionate care
• Help clients access community resources and services
• Monitor individual progress and provide documentation after each shift
• Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent, high-quality care
• Support discharge planning, crisis response, and transitional services as needed
