Job summary

i9 Sports - Hatchard in Center Square, PA is seeking a Weekend Baseball Instructor & Official. This active, hands-on role mentors volunteer coaches, teaches fundamentals, and keeps games fun, safe, and fair.

You will work with players of all ages during practices and game days, foster sportsmanship, and support field setup. Weekend availability is required for approx 7 weeks per season; prior coaching or officiating experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Baseball rules, skills, and game play.
• Previous coaching, playing, or officiating experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and support volunteer coaches during practices and game days.
• Teach Baseball fundamentals through age-appropriate instruction and demonstrations.
• Promote i9 Sports core values, including sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect.
• Help oversee Baseball operations to ensure games run safely and on schedule.
• Build positive relationships with players, parents, coaches, and staff.
• Assist with officiating games when needed.
• Set up and break down fields and equipment before and after each event.
• Maintain a fun, energetic atmosphere for all participants.
• Officiate games while ensuring player safety and a positive learning environment.
• Enforce i9 Sports rules consistently and fairly.
• Encourage age-appropriate instruction and competition.
