Job summary

i9 Sports in Malvern is seeking a Baseball Instructor & Official to create a fun, safe, and educational experience for young players. You will mentor volunteer coaches and teach age-appropriate Baseball fundamentals.

As an Official, you will keep games fair and engaging, promote sportsmanship, and support field operations. This active, hands-on role works with players of all ages during practices and game days.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Baseball rules, skills, and gameplay.
• Previous coaching, playing, or officiating experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive, energetic, and dependable with a passion for working with children.
• Ability to work independently, solve problems, and adapt during game-day situations.
• Ability to pass a National Criminal Background Check.
• Available to work weekends throughout each season (approximately 6 weeks).
• Strong customer service skills and ability to build positive relationships with families and coaches.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and support volunteer coaches during practices and game days.
• Teach Baseball fundamentals through age-appropriate instruction and demonstrations.
• Promote i9 Sports core values, including sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect.
• Help oversee Baseball operations to ensure games run safely and on schedule.
• Build positive relationships with players, parents, coaches, and fellow staff.
• Assist with officiating games when needed.
• Set up and break down fields and equipment before and after each event.
• Maintain a fun, energetic, and encouraging atmosphere for all participants.
