Job summary

Textron Aviation is hiring an Avionics Technician to perform functional testing, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics systems on board aircraft at a Textron Aviation Service Center in Milwaukee. You will work with experienced technicians to ensure the safety and reliability of our aircraft.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of avionics troubleshooting experience; an A&P certification is helpful. A pre-tax $4,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Two years minimum experience in aircraft avionics troubleshooting and repair.
• Ability to work at a Textron Aviation Service Center in Milwaukee.

Responsibilities

• Functional testing: isolate and repair avionics issues per customer complaints following FAA procedures.
• Diagnose problems from in-flight data and customer feedback.
• Troubleshoot defects in units or wiring discrepancies.
• Replace defective units and repair wiring; modify aircraft as needed.
• Conduct flight tests with pilots to verify repaired/adjusted systems as required.
• Follow aircraft orders and wiring diagrams; work with oral and written instructions.
