Job summary

Textron Aviation in Milwaukee, WI is seeking an Experienced Avionics Technician for the Evening Shift. The role focuses on functional testing, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics systems on board aircraft at a Textron Aviation Service Center.

Responsibilities include diagnosing issues from FAA procedures, wiring and unit repairs, and potential flight testing with pilots. A high school diploma or GED and 2+ years avionics experience are required; A&P certification is helpful.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • A minimum 2 years experience in aircraft avionics system troubleshooting and repair is required.
  • Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certification is helpful.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an airport security badge through the local airport authority, if applicable, is required.

  • Functional Testing: Isolate and repair avionics system issues based on customer complaints, following FAA procedures.
  • Problem Diagnosis: Analyze in-flight data and customer feedback to diagnose and correct issues.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve defects in units or wiring discrepancies.
  • Component Replacement: Replace defective units, repair wiring, and modify aircraft as needed.
  • Flight Testing: Accompany pilots to conduct functional tests on repaired or aligned systems as needed.
  • Instruction Compliance: Perform duties based on aircraft orders, wiring diagrams, and both oral and written instructions.

We are hiring immediately for an Avionics Technician.

What you will be doing as an Avionics Technician:

In this role, you can expect to perform functional testing, troubleshooting, and repairing of avionics systems on board aircraft at a Textron Aviation Service Center.
