Job summary

Calyx Living in Durham, NC is seeking energetic 1st Shift Care Staff to support residents in our assisted living community located near the Eno River and downtown Durham.

You will assist with personal care, monitor medications as directed, observe changes in conditions, document incidents, help with meals, and ensure a safe, dignified environment for seniors. Weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Caregiver experience strongly preferred.
• Must have compassion and a desire to work with seniors.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and families.
• Strong sense of maturity.
• Ability to adapt to each resident and setting.
• Trustworthy and attentive.
• 18 years or older.
• Must be available to work weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care needs.
• Monitor self-administration of medication.
• Record residents' vital signs.
• Maintain resident safety and complete incident reports.
• Assist with meal services and observe changes in conditions.
