Job summary

The University of Iowa Health Care's Department of Internal Medicine seeks a part-time weekend Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner to provide direct patient care in the Infusion Suite of the Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center. The ARNP will operate with autonomy within scope and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support infusion services.

Responsibilities include managing chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and blood product reactions; ordering medications; documenting care; and

Qualifications

• Must comply with Iowa Board of Nursing registration and licensure requirements.
• Current license to practice nursing in Iowa is required.
• Current certification in specialty area and/or ARNP licensure in Iowa is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience in clinical practice.

Responsibilities

• Function independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team to plan, deliver, and evaluate care.
• Provide outpatient clinical care and same-day appointments as directed.
• Order medications, administer drugs, and treat patients during infusion services.
• Document patient assessment and plan of care in the medical record.
• Support daily Infusion Suite operations and help improve workflow.
