Job summary

University of Iowa Health Care seeks a part-time weekend Physician Associate to provide direct patient care in the Infusion Suite of the Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center. The PA/ARNP will work autonomously within their scope of practice and collaborate with clinicians to support quality care and patient outcomes.

The hire may be for PA or ARNP based on qualifications, with expectations to support infusion services, patient education, and multidisciplinary planning.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited PA educational program and/or NCCPA certification.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Current certification in a specialty area.
• Demonstrated experience in clinical practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient clinical care and same-day appointments.
• Order medications and administer drugs during infusion services.
• Collaborate with nursing, clinical staff, and administration to monitor and improve patient care quality.
• Document patient assessments and plans of care in the medical record.
