Job summary

Armorous in California is seeking an Armed Security Officer for a Recycling Yard. You will safeguard properties, deter theft, and patrol sites with vigilance, clear decision-making, and strong communication skills.

Shifts are Saturday and Sunday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM (16 hours per week) with opportunities for additional shifts. The role requires BSIS compliance, proper equipment, and offers full benefits, including medical, dental, and vision, with weekly direct deposit.

Qualifications

• Must maintain BSIS compliance with certificates (8-hour initial and 32-hour CE).
• Experience with graveyard shifts preferred.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine patrols to monitor and secure designated locations.
• Identify and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and unauthorized access.
• Maintain a visible presence to deter criminal activity and ensure public safety.
• Respond swiftly to incidents and provide support in emergencies.
• Document daily activity, incidents, and observations in reports.
• Communicate security updates and concerns with supervisors and team.
