Job summary

Anderson County Government seeks an Animal Care Technician and Retail Adoption Clerk for a part-time weekend role in Clinton, TN. You will care for animals, socialize them, and manage adoptions with fee handling and data entry.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and a valid Tennessee driver’s license; experience with animals is preferred. You will work Saturdays and Sundays in a county facility with volunteer coordination support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Experience with animals preferred.
• Strong customer service and public interaction skills.

Responsibilities

• Care and cleaning of animals.
• Socialize animals and provide enrichment.
• Process adoptions and collect fees.
• Enter adoptions into the electronic system.
• Assist volunteers and schedule volunteers.
• Sanitize cages and maintain cleanliness.
• Handle supplies and donations; lift where needed.
• Attend adoption events and support vetting as needed.
