FOX News Channel is seeking an experienced anchor and reporter for weekend streaming hours in Houston, Texas. The ideal candidate will showcase authenticity in delivering news across live platforms, using video, text, and social media.
With a focus on innovative content generation, this role demands at least 5 years in professional news operation and a commitment to work non-traditional hours. Compensation ranges from $110,000 to $120,000 annually, with benefits including health insurance and a 401(k).
Fox TV Stations FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (NewYork, LosAngeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network’s national content.
The content generation team at FOX26 is re‑imagining how local news is gathered, presented and disseminated across multiple platforms, with a keen emphasis on streaming and CTV. We no longer wait for appointed times to deliver content. We’re a 24/7 live, happening‑now and authentic streaming‑first news organization. In this role, you’ll anchor weekend streaming hours and, during the week, report across multiple platforms and fill in behind the desk as needed.
Pay range: $110,000 – $120,000 annually, depending on education, skills, experience and location. Eligible for medical, dental, vision, insurance, 401(k), paid time off and other benefits. Union representation benefits as per agreement.
