Job summary

KOCO-TV in Oklahoma City is seeking a high-energy weekend morning anchor reporter with proven leadership to join our team. You will head into the field for big stories, develop sources, and deliver confident, engaging newscasts that connect with viewers.

You should be a versatile self-starter who works fast under tight deadlines, adapts to newscast scripts, and leads the newsroom with a positive drive to serve the community. This role reports to the News Director.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of anchor experience
• Minimum 2 years of reporting experience
• Your demo reel is indicative of your everyday work
• Anchor that connects with viewers, in addition to reporting skills
• Can work in all weather conditions, work varied shifts, including overnights and weekends and carry up to 50 pounds
• Have a valid driver's license and a clear driving record
• Can deal with the stresses and pressures of time-sensitive newscast production
• In-person attendance is required

In addition to credibility, poise, and personality; we’re looking for an anchor who isn’t afraid to head out into the field and break the big stories. We are looking for a versatile, enterprising self-starter who is fast, efficient, works well under tight deadlines, can develop sources, and isn’t afraid to jump into newscast scripts. We are looking for a weekend morning anchor who can be a newsroom leader with a positive drive to make a difference in our newscasts and in our community. This role reports to the News Director.
