Job summary

Hearst Television seeks a weekend morning anchor/reporter for KOCO-TV in Oklahoma City. You will lead weekend newscasts, report from the field, and engage viewers on social media, delivering clear, credible storytelling with poise and personality.

You will develop sources, meet tight deadlines, and act as a newsroom leader under the News Director, aiming to make a positive impact in our community.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of anchor experience preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of reporting experience.
• Your demo reel is indicative of your everyday work.
• Anchor that connects with viewers, in addition to reporting skills.
• Can work in all weather conditions, work varied shifts, including overnights and weekends and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Have a valid driver's license and a clear driving record.
• Can deal with the stresses and pressures of time-sensitive newscast production.
• In-person attendance is required.

Job description

KOCO-TV, the ABC affiliate in Oklahoma City, OK, is looking for a high-energy weekend morning anchor reporter with proven leadership skills to join our team. In addition to credibility, poise, and personality; we're looking for an anchor who isn't afraid to head out into the field and break the big stories. We are looking for a versatile, enterprising self-starter who is fast, efficient, works well under tight deadlines, can develop sources, and isn’t afraid to jump into newscast scripts. We are looking for a weekend morning anchor who can be a newsroom leader with a positive drive to make a difference in our newscasts and in our community. This role reports to the News Director.
