Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. in Chattanooga, TN is hiring an Aircraft Maintenance Technician on the Weekend Shift (Friday–Sunday, 6am–6:30pm). This full-time, on-site role includes a weekend differential of 11.11% and a 3-day workweek.

The job involves troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, with opportunities for growth and benefits starting at onboarding. Openings span AMT I–IV levels, with required licenses varying by level and years of experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; driver's license is ideal but not mandatory.
• Airframe or Powerplant license required for AMT I/II/III/IV with licenses preferred as noted.
• AMT I requires Airframe or Powerplant license and 0-2 years of aviation maintenance experience.
• AMT II requires Airframe or Powerplant license and 2-4 years of experience; corporate aircraft experience preferred.
• AMT III requires Airframe license with Powerplant highly preferred; 4-6+ years of aviation maintenance experience.
• AMT IV requires both Airframe and Powerplant licenses; 6+ years of experience on corporate aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Remove and install panels and components; troubleshoot aircraft system issues.
• De-fuel aircraft; perform engine removals/ installations.
• Operate ground support equipment; inspect aircraft and components.
• Maintain shop facilities, equipment, and tooling; navigate maintenance data bases.
