Job summary

IntelliResume is hiring a Weekend Afterhours RN in Tucson, AZ to provide comprehensive hospice care to patients and families after hours, including nights and weekends. This role emphasizes triage and urgent response, ensuring timely in-person visits when needed.

You will perform the initial nursing evaluation within 48 hours of referral, conduct after-hours visits (admission, recertification, and routine), and document problems and goals.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted RN licensure in Arizona (state of practice).
• 1+ years of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Triage patient needs over the phone and schedule in-person visits.
• Respond urgently to crisis calls from patients and families after hours.
• Perform initial nursing evaluation within 48 hours of referral.
• Carry out after-hours visits including admission, death, recertification, and routine visits.
• Assess and reassess patient/family physical, psychosocial, emotional, and environmental needs, every 15 days.
• Document problems, goals, interventions, and responses to hospice care.

About This Role: The Weekend Afterhours RN is responsible for providing comprehensive hospice care to patients and their families during after hours, including nights and weekends. This role is ideal for nurses who are skilled in triaging patient needs and responding to urgent situations.

Highlights

• Pay: $70,832 - $106,248 annually
• Location: Tucson, AZ
• Sign-On Bonus: $2,500 for external applicants

What You'll Do

• Triage patient needs over the phone until a nurse can provide an in-person visit
• Respond appropriately and with urgency to crisis calls from patients and families after hours
• Make the initial nursing evaluation to determine eligibility for hospice services within 48 hours of referral if assigned
• Perform after hours visits including admission visits, death visits, recertification visits, and routine visits
• Identify the patient/family's physical, psychosocial, emotional, and environmental needs and reassess them every 15 days
• Document problems, appropriate goals, interventions, and patient/family response to hospice care
• Function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client

Requirements

Education

• Current unrestricted RN licensure in the state of practice

Experience

• 1+ years of clinical experience preferred

Licenses & Certifications

• Current driver's license, valid vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation
• Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire preferred
