Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking an Afterhours Registered Nurse in Olympia, WA, to deliver comprehensive hospice care after hours, including nights and weekends. The role requires active RN licensure in WA and entails triage calls, in-home visits, and patient/family support.

About This Role

As the Afterhours Registered Nurse, your primary focus is to conduct comprehensive and timely delivery of hospice care for patients and their families after regular business hours, including at night and on weekends.

• Pay: $78,288 - $117,432 annually

What You'll Do

• Triage patient needs over the phone until a nurse can provide an in-person visit
• Respond appropriately and with urgency to crisis calls from patients and families afterhours
• Make the initial nursing evaluation in determining eligibility for hospice services within 48 hours of referral if assigned
• Perform afterhours visits including admission visits, death visits, recertification visits, and routine visits
• Identify the patient/family's physical, psychosocial, emotional, and environmental needs and reassess them as needed, no less than every 15 days
• Document problems, appropriate goals, interventions, and patient/family response to hospice care
• Function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client

Requirements

Education:

• Current unrestricted RN licensure in the state of practice

Experience:

• 1+ years of clinical experience preferred

Licenses & Certifications:

• Current driver's license, valid vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation
• Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire preferred
