Job summary

Pellahealth in Iowa is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP) for a walk-in clinic weekend package. The role requires completion of a PA or NP program and Iowa licensure, with BLS/ACLS and the ability to obtain within 4 months.

You will work on-site with physicians, perform exams, order labs/imaging, prescribe medications, and contribute to clinic operations. Strong communication, empathy, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Completion of Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
• Licensed in the State of Iowa as a PA or NP.
• BLS or ACLS certification or ability to obtain within 4 months of hire.
• Valid Iowa driver’s license and proof of auto insurance if applicable.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with physicians and other health care team members.
• Ability to demonstrate empathy toward others.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients in collaboration with physicians.
• Obtain medical histories and perform physical exams.
• Order labs and imaging (labs and x-rays).
• Prescribe medications per clinic protocols.
• Develop clinic operations with CAC, Clinic Services Director, and Chief of Clinic Services.
• Participate in performance improvement and Lean initiatives.
