Baltimore Crisis Response, INC is seeking an entry-level Weekend Intake & Admissions Specialist to manage referrals, conduct intake screenings by phone, and coordinate admissions for CRU and Detox units. This full-time on-site role emphasizes timely communication with hospitals, providers, and care partners.

Required is a HS diploma with 2 years in behavioral health or related fields preferred; strong communication and documentation skills are essential to ensure accurate intake and smooth

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required; associate/bachelor preferred.
• Minimum 2 years in behavioral health, healthcare, or public health advised.
• Strong communication and team coordination skills essential.
• Ability to document accurately and protect confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage referrals for SUD program during assigned shift.
• Receive, track, and respond to referrals from hospitals, community providers, and internal programs.
• Conduct intake screenings via phone with potential clients and partners.
• Review referrals against criteria and escalate as needed for nurse/clinical review.
• Communicate admission decisions to referral sources promptly.
• Complete registration and intake documentation in Credible.
• Verify insurance information for intake processing.
• Coordinate care between internal teams and external partners.
• Assist residential staff with admissions to CRU and Detox units.
• Participate in shift handoffs and highlight outstanding referrals.
