Job summary

Mativ Holdings, Inc. is a global materials company seeking a dedicated mixer/operator to ensure accurate blending of adhesives with solvents and additives. You will weigh, measure, mix, and inventory adhesives, solvents and additives, and document results.

The role requires a high school diploma, fluency in English, and good mathematical skills. Schedule is Friday–Sunday nights, 5:45pm–6:00am with a 15% shift differential; training occurs Monday–Thursday.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
• Good mathematical skills.
• Ability to accurately use measuring devices and timers.
• Must wear PPE when handling adhesives, solvents and additives.
• Keeps work area clean and orderly.
• Adheres to company attendance policies.
• Assists Coater Operators as needed.
• Removes and returns unused drums, totes and containers.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with lead or shift supervisor to ascertain mixing requirements.
• Reads work orders and determines adhesive requirements.
• Verifies quantity and type of materials delivered from warehouse and drum room.
• Utilizes mixing equipment to formulate and blend adhesives with solvents/additives.
• Follows mix instructions and logs tests/records in the log book.
• Prepares the correct quantities and enters data into the system.
• Labels drums and totes correctly (lids and sides).
• Delivers prepared adhesives to machines and manages waste drums.
• Maintains continuous communication about changes in adhesive requirements.
• Cleans mixers and keeps the mixing room clean and organized.
• Supplies coater personnel with solvents for cleaning per safety rules.
• Pre-weighs adhesive additives and stores in inventory.
• Handles hazardous waste per company policy.
• Operates a drum crusher and follows safety regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
